Just a few weeks after the launch of two fitness trackers the Samsung Galaxy Fit series and the Xiaomi Mi Band 4, it looks like our options will be expanding as HONOR announced their very own HONOR Band 5.
The watch features a 0.95-inch AMOLED screen pushing 282ppi pixel density. According to GizChina, the band has a battery life of up to 14 days on a single charge – pretty standard for today’s fitness trackers.
The display boasts a wider gamut of colours; plus, new features include blood oxygen level detection – when the percentage drops below 90%, the tracker will notify you to take a break. The band supports 24-hour heart rate monitoring along with non-visible heart rate monitoring during night time.
You can expect a host of workout and sports modes alongside the usual offering; plus, an NFC version is also available – however we’re not sure if it supports non-Chinese e-wallets.
The HONOR Band 5 is priced at 189 Yuan (about RM113), while the NFC version will set you back 219 Yuan (about RM131) – making it the direct competition for the Samsung Galaxy Fit-e and the Xiaomi Mi Band 4.
