Chinese media have received yet another invite to an Honor launch event, just barely after the launch of the flagship Honor V10. This time round, Huawei’s sub brand Honor will be launching a mid ranger – the Honor 9 Lite, and it will happen this 21st of December before 2017 draws to a close.

Based on images by My Drivers, the folks at Honor have put some thought into the invitation package for the launch. This includes a pair of glasses to hint at the Honor 9 Lite’s dual camera setup. The invitation card also teases the upcoming phone’s AI capabilities as well.

That goes without saying that rumors have been circulating regarding the Honor 9 Lite and that it also appeared on the TENAA certification website with specs revealed. The handset will feature an 18:9 display at Full HD+ resolution, measuring at 5.65-inches. Underneath the hood, the Honor 9 Lite will pack Huawei’s Kirin 659 processor with 3GB and 4GB RAM variants. It is tipped to have a 13MP + 20MP dual rear camera setup.

We can’t be certain as to whether the Honor 9 Lite will make way to Malaysian shores after its launch next week, but it will likely remain as a China exclusive device for a couple of months.
