HMD opens up beta program for Nokia 8 users

Having released the Nokia 7 recently, HMD Global is definitely off to a good start this year in attempts to revive the Nokia brand. Not too long ago, the company has promised that all its current Nokia smartphones will receive Android P as well, which sounds like a huge promise to make considering that Android Oreo has yet to touch base with its devices. Android Oreo is slated to roll out to Nokia smartphone very soon, as HMD Global opens up its beta lab for Nokia 8 users.

If you happen to be a Nokia 8 user, you now have a chance to try out the beta version of Android Oreo before it heads for public roll out. By doing that, you’re also doing Nokia a favor as you will be able to give feedback on the Android Oreo software experience. If you ever regret upgrading to Android Oreo as a beta tester, you can also request for a “downgrade” back to Android Nougat.

All you need to do is to head on down to Nokia’s beta web page at the source link below. Register with the IMEI number of your Nokia 8 device, and the OTA update for the beta software should be rolled out to you in 12 hours. Keen to try?
