Kudos to HMD Global for its ability to bring the Nokia brand back from the dead. Nokia is well past its glory days in the early 2000’s, but is currently back on track to being popular again as it once was. HMD without a doubt did an excellent job by launching a modern version of the Nokia 3310, but the handset has been criticised for lacking 3G connectivity.

HMD was definitely in the works of a Nokia 3310 3G, and the company has finally unveiled the 3G variant of what might be the world’s most popular feature phone right now. As the company’s press release states, “this modern classic is now 3G enabled and can be enjoyed in even more countries around the world”.

With 3G connectivity, HMD also extends the availability of the handset to more regions. The Nokia 3310 3G comes with a trade off however – battery life. The phone now comes with a less impressive 6.5 hours of talk time and 27 hours of standby for its battery life.

The Nokia 3310 3G will be released mid October, which is around two weeks for now. The legacy feature phone will be priced at a global average of 69 Euros (RM 344.26).
