As the nation observing the movement control order from the Malaysian Prime Minister starting midnight, many may have enough food at home thanks to people clearing store shelves from panic buying.

Well, Grab has taken to social media to ensure that its services, including GrabFood and GrabMart will still continue to operate as usual.

There’s no specific direction to close eateries around the country, soyou should still be able to get your grub from your favourite places via GrabFood, if the restaurant doesn’t voluntarily close, of course.

It is also worth noting that Grab essentially operates on partner riders and drivers – and it is still up to these individuals if they want to continue working during this period.

The movement control order is in no way a country-wide lockdown, so people are still free to carry out their day as usual, and as long as the necessary safety measures are taken by all parties, then all will be fine. Kudos to Grab for their efforts, because if anything, this provides the ease of mind many need at the moment when it comes to food.
