The famous ride-sharing company, Grab, has quietly backed oBike recently as part of their Series B round that was announced back in August based on a source that told TechCrunch about the deal. However, Grab’s name as not announced publicly by oBike as its investors and a Grab spokesperson declined to comment on this business deal.

oBike is similar to Grab in a way as oBike offers a bicycle-sharing service to the city folks to get around the city in the cheapest way possible. In recent news, MBPJ has been rounding up these bikes because they have been left around without being placed in proper area obstruction roads and walkways. We do not know what are the terms and conditions of the deal between these two companies but we do hope that Grab might help pull on some strings to get this bicycle sharing service the boost it needs.

It does make sense why this two businesses would want to join hands in business, seeing as they are both ride-sharing businesses, but oBikes, as we know, will still be operating as normal and you can still download the oBike app from the Play Store and App Store on your respective devices to give this service a try.
