Google’s next update will block autoplay videos with sounds

The new update from Google would be able to prevent your speakers from the sound blaring that comes from autoplay videos, because they’re blocking it. Google Chrome’s version 66 will include changes to the autoplay system, which means the browser will only play them automatically if the sound isn’t playing by default.

Though this version was slated to be released during the Chrome 64 version, which was planned to permanently mute certain websites that abuse autoplay videos, it was then delayed to Chrome 66 instead. But it’s worth noting that they’re now appearing in the beta channels of Chrome ahead of the public release next month.

It may be a minor update but we bet it’s going to be helpful for a lot of users.
