After a lot of talk of Google’s entry to cloud gaming, the Google Stadia has finally been given an official release date. Set for November 19, the Founder’s Edition bundle will set you back $129 (RM541).

The bundle will include a three-month subscription to Stadia Pro that allows game streaming of up to 4K, support for 5.1 surround sound, a copy of Destiny 2: The Collection, exclusive discounts on titles, a Chromecast Ultra and a Night Blue Stadia Controller.

There’s also a base edition that’s free – this limits you to 1080p streaming, stereo audio, with no free games and discounts.

During the Made by Google event yesterday, the team also spoke a little more about the design of the controllers. The shape of the grips are akin to that of a professional chef’s knife – straight and rounded. It boasts a minimalistic overall look – there are triggers at the back, a DualShock joystick placement, along with Xbox controller layouts.

Right of the bat, you’ll be able to purchase and play games like Borderlands 3, Assassins Creed Odyssey, Doom Eternal and more. You can play them on your Chrome browser, Chromecast-enabled TVs, or even your Pixel smartphone.

For 720p gaming, Google recommends a stable internet bandwidth of 10Mbps, you’ll need up at least 20Mbps for 1080p, while 4K streaming requires between 30 to 35Mbps. We’ll be keeping a close eye on the service’s availability, stay tuned on our website for updates.
