Google rebrands Android Wear to Wear OS, expecting newer and better features

Google is apparently restructuring the Android Wear brand to Wear OS, and through undergoing this process, lots of new features will be added and enhanced too, even with the inclusion with a new logo. All future smartwatches will have this new logo while the existing ones will be rebranded in an over-the-air update in the coming weeks.

There are many features to look out for, like how Google is planning on revamping the health app, making sure users keep their wellbeing in check whilst motivating them to stay active. They may not be making any major announcements now but accordingly, there would be major progress being made to the future of their Wear OS smartwatches.

As for iPhone users, Google is also looking into making the user experience more friendly for them, since browsing the Play Store on the smartwatch can be really complicated. But improving the iOS experience is going to happen more quickly because the use of Assistant breaks the connectivity and disrupts the information delivery process to the end user.

Though many improvements are expected to happen to the Wear OS smartwatches, it cannot be denied that some limitations will remain too. One obstacle is that iMessages will continue to be apparent and may not go away anytime soon, though efforts will be pushed to improve on that matter. And if Google Fit’s revamping doesn’t include a better feature than its current form, it will continue to pale beside rivalry brands.

But it’s definitely something worth waiting for as there’s going to be a lot of improvements that have been promised, so we’ll be sure to keep an eye out to keep you guys posted.
