Google is gearing up for its event on the 4th October, which happens to only be roughly a day away from now. The company is be releasing its next line of handsets, carrying the Pixel branding and ditching the Nexus titles altogether. Prior to that, a couple of retailers have allegedly published details regarding the Pixel and Pixel XL on their respective sites, and this particular leak comes from Carphone Warehouse, giving us the full spec sheets of both handsets.

The smaller Google Pixel features a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass 4 protection, a quad core Snapdragon 821 processor clocked at 2.15 GHz, 4GB of RAM with 32GB and 128GB storage configurations. The phone sports a 12MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and OIS, alongside an 8MP selfie shooter on the front. The Pixel has fast charge support for its 2,770mAh battery. Like its predecessor the Nexus 5X, the Pixel will have a rear fingerprint sensor as well.

The Pixel XL on the other hand, had its AMOLED display size shrunk from 5.7-inches to 5.5-inches, at the same resolution of QHD, also with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Its internals are pretty much the same with its smaller sibling, the Pixel. A Snapdragon 821 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 32GB and 128GB variants for storage. Camera wise, things remain the same as well with a 12MP/8MP pair of rear and front cameras respectively. The other difference lies within its battery, sporting a capacity of 3,450mAh to power the larger QHD screen.

Both the Pixel and Pixel XL will be running Google’s latest Android Nougat 7.1 out of the box. Google is also offering unlimited backup for photos in full resolution via the Photos app, a feature which currently applies only in High Quality format. Other highlights include Google Duo and Allo, messaging apps which were launched just recently by the company, plus Pixel and Pixel XL Live Cases which will be available separately.

While all of the above mentioned specs might be true, we’d rather wait just a little longer before confirming anything regarding Google’s brand new Pixel lineup. Nevertheless, what do you think of the specs of both the Pixel and Pixel XL?
