A few hours after the Made by Google event, the company has invited members of the media to a briefing session of the company’s AI powered flagship phones.
The Pixel 9 series of smartphones are the company’s most exciting devices that’s packed with a lot of interesting on-device AI features, Google has also confirmed that the Malaysian market will not be getting the Pixel 9 Fold Pro this round, but Pixel fans in Malaysia will still have the choice of Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL.
All Pixel 9 phones are powered by the Tensor G4 chip, which is the fastest and most efficient chip ever made to run complex mobile ML models.
The Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL sport 6.3 and 6.8-inches Super Actua displays respectively, they both have 16GB RAM and up to 1TB of storage, the same camera hardware including a 50MP main, 48MP ultrawide, 48MP telephoto and 42MP front cameras.
Tthe Pixel 9 Pro will have a smaller 4700mAh battery as compared to 5060mAh on the Pixel 9 Pro XL, but both devices support 45W wired fast charging and 15W fast wireless charging.
As for the vanilla Pixel 9, it sports 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage, a 6.3-inch Actua display that refreshes at 120Hz, 4700mAh battery with 45W fast charging and 15W fast wireless charging. Interestingly, the Pixel 9 has the same wide and ultrawide camera hardware as the Pro model, you are only missing out a telephoto camera and it has a lower resolution 10.5MP front camera.
Google Pixel 9 Malaysia Price and Availability
The Google Pixel 9 series can be preordered from authorized retailers Urban Republic by Switch, Senheng and SenQ, while those looking to sign up for a telco contract can head to CelcomDigi and Maxis. Otherwise, you can preorder it online from Google’s official Shopee and Lazada store.
As for after sales support, Google is currently working on local authorized service partners, but in case if anything goes wrong with your Pixel 9, you can send it back to your reseller or go through the official RMA process at the Google Online Store.

The Pixel 9 comes in colors of Peony, Wintergreen, Porcelain and Obsidian, while the Pixel 9 Pro series will come in Porcelain, Rose Quartz, Hazel and Obsidian.
