Earlier this week, Google teased an upcoming hardware announcement on May 7. Even though the Mountain View-based company is yet to officially confirm anything, many are speculating that the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL mid-range smartphones could be unveiled at the upcoming event. The first official renders showing the upcoming Pixel smartphones have now leaked online, courtesy of AndroidHeadlines.

As you can see in the renders above, the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL smartphones will have relatively thick bezels on all sides. Especially when compared to the latest crop of mid-range Android smartphones. Additionally, the renders confirm the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top and a single speaker placed in the bottom chin.

The Pixel 3a is expected to have a 5.6-inch display with 1080 x 2220 Full HD+ resolution, while the “XL” model will have a bigger 6-inch display with a 1080 x 2160 Full HD+ resolution. Both the smartphones will arrive running on Android 9 Pie, which isn’t surprising.

Under the hood, Google Pixel 3a is rumored to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 octa-core processor. On the other hand, the Pixel 3a XL will have a Snapdragon 710 chipset inside. Both phones will pack 4GB of RAM, just like the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. They are also expected to have the same 12.2MP primary camera on the back.
