We finally know what the Google Clip is and it’s not just a regular camera that captures pictures and video, it is designed to capture moments in your life that would have missed because it takes too long to whip out your phone to snap a picture.
Google Clip will take motion photos which are designed from the ground up by Google that is similar to Live Photo on iPhones. The device does not capture audio but uses smart recognition features that will capture videos anywhere and will not require an Internet connection. All you need is your phone to access the contents of the camera. The camera using machine learning to remember the people that you are close with and can be set to only capture them, it will even work on your pets. Google Clip comes with 16GB internal storage, three hours of passive smart capturing per charge, 130-degrees field of view, Gorilla Glass 3, USB Type-C, WiFi Direct Bluetooth LE and can notify you if the camera lens is being blocked.
As of now, the device is retailing for $249 but Google has been tight-lipped on how many megapixels the sensors will have.
