While this is old news for Android devices, iOS devices will finally have the multiple accounts feature in their Gmail app.

iOS users have been switching between accounts when they want to read the messages in their inboxes but with the new update, there will be an all inboxes option that displays all the messages regardless of the different accounts. It might not seem like a big deal, but it is handy as users will be able to check all their messages at once and yet reply with the respective email accounts.

It is also worth noting that the Mail app on iOS devices has already been offering the feature for quite some time so if you’re used to the Mail app, the Gmail app’s update is probably of irrelevance. If you’ve been using the Gmail app because you didn’t know your Mail allows multiple accounts, here’s how you do it.

Go to your Settings and click on Passwords & Accounts, then click on Add Account. Once you’ve added your account, you can choose whether to sync your data whether it is from Mail, Contacts, Calendars or Notes. To be able to view your emails from the Mail app, make sure you switch on the sync option for your Mail. You will then be able to see your added account in your Mail app, and also an All Inboxes tab to keep track of all your emails.
