Chinese smartphone maker Gionee has always been focused on its local market, putting out smartphones that are appealing to the Chinese crowd. It was not until recently that the company decided to send some of its phones out to other markets, and the Gionee M7 Power is the latest to expand out of China, having launched at India.

The Gionee M7 Power is Gionee’s entry level full screen display smartphone which comes with an affordable price tag. The phone comes with a tall 6-inch display at HD+ resolution, which actually pales a lot in comparison to the QHD+ flagships out there. Underneath the hood is a Snapdragon 435 processor, alongside 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.

Unlike the regular Gionee M7, the Gionee M7 Power comes with only a single rear camera at a standard 13 megapixels, plus an 8MP front facing selfie camera. The main selling point of this handset is its huge 5,000mAh battery, which should be capable of providing well over a day’s battery life.

Gionee has definitely started to make its name on the world stage outside of China. With the likes of the Gionee M7 Power coming in at an affordable INR 16,999 (RM 1,087.45), the company should see more of its phones being put out on the global market.
