GIGABYTE’s Next Gaming 3 Motherboard Spotted

Apparently, there is more new Skylake support motherboard being unveils this week and this time is the new GIGABYTE Gaming 3 motherboard. There isn’t any name for the chipset at the moment because GIGABYTE want to keep it secret. However, this motherboard still features the new socket LGA 1151 motherboard and it’s designed to strike a price-features sweet spot.

In addition, the motherboard also supports 2-way NVIDIA SLI and AMD CrossFireX and features an ATX form-factor, the motherboard draws power from a combination of 24-pin and 8-pin EPS connector with a surprisingly it only uses a 7-phase CPU VRM. The socket is wired to four DDR4 DIMM slots, supporting up to 64 GB of dual-channel DDR4 memory, and two PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots.

For storage, the motherboard includes two 32 Gb/s M.2 slots, three SATA-Express 16 Gb/s, and six SATA 6 Gb/s. Besides that, there will be two USB 3.1 ports with one of it will be a type-C port, at least eight USB 3.0 ports, and a number of USB 2.0/1.1 ports. Fortunately, GIGABYTE includes AMP-UP audio solution combines an 115 dBA SNR CODEC with ground-layer isolation, an OPAMP tuned for gaming and music, audio-grade capacitors, and EMI shielding.

The company didn’t forget about the networking part for gamers too, and they introduce the Killer E2200 chip on the motherboard. Display outputs include D-Sub, DVI, and HDMI. There will be also a TurboOverclock+, a hardware-based overclock automation and stability testing system and this will be the GIGABYTE’s first wave of next-generation motherboards.
