GIGABYTE introduces creator-centric AERO 15 Classic equipped with RTX 20 GPUs, and refreshes AORUS lineup, offering power and affordability

After a slew of gaming laptops being introduced in the recent months by the likes of ASUS, Acer and Lenovo, Taiwan-based brand GIGABYTE is joining the party too by introducing the AERO 15 Classic series as well as new additions the AORUS line-up.

The AERO 15 Classic series are thin workhorse machines targeted at content creators – they sport 9th-Gen Intel Core i9; the top of the line variant comes with an i9-9980HK CPU, while the rest have i7-9750H processors.

The line-up also offers options when it comes to graphics cards – think GTX 1660Ti. RTX 2060, RTX 2070, and RTX 2080. In terms of memory and storage options, you can get 8GB models with up to 16GB RAM, while storage offers up 512GB, 1TB and 2TB PCIe m.2 SSDs.

The AERO Classic 15 laptops are made with the “All Intel Inside” concept making them AI-enabled devices. The AI adapts to the work habits of the user and switches between usage of CPU and GPU power to provide a balance between performance and battery life.

Since it’s made for creators, the 15.6-inch laptops must have proper monitors – here you get at least FHD IPS panels that push 144Hz, while the range-topper sports a AUO 4K Adobe RGB 100% panel, which boasts accurate colours.

The AERO Classic 15 laptops are priced from RM6,999 – while the GTX 1660Ti and RTX 2080, 4K panel variants require 4-6 week pre-order wait times.

For full-fledged gamers, you’ll be glad to know that GIGABYTE is adding to their AORUS 5,7 and 15 series of gaming laptops.

Starting with the most powerful variant, the AORUS 15 is available in three SKUs – all are 15.6-inch machines while the top range model gets a 240Hz monitor, and the cheaper models get 144Hz panels.

In terms of CPU and GPU pairings, all models get the same Intel Core i7-9750H CPU, while you’re afforded either a GTX 1660Ti, RTX 2060 or RTX 2070 for graphics. These AORUS 15 laptops come equipped with “WINDFORCE Technology” which provides sufficient thermal dissipation within a thin chassis. GIGABYTE also say that the RTX laptops will carry the RTX Studio certification. You can get the AORUS 15 from RM6,399.

Lastly, if you’re looking to game on the cheap, the AORUS 5 and 7 series laptops provide a balance of power and affordability.

These laptops come with the same CPU as the AORUS 15, but they get weaker GPUs in the form of the GeForce GTX 1650 and GTX 1660Ti. The AORUS 5 is priced at RM4,999 while the AORUS 7 is priced from RM5,199.

The refreshed AORUS line-up will be available in Malaysia this July 15 through selected dealers.
