The Galaxy Note 8’s display is unparalleled

Some of you might disagree since the Galaxy Note 8 looks very much like Samsung’s Galaxy S8 series, even down to its Infinity Display. While we could agree on these general opinions, the folks at Display Mate have been working really hard to give us consumers an in depth analysis of the Galaxy Note 8’s display, and it is the best smartphone display to date.

The Galaxy Note 8 features a 6.3-inch Infinity Display at 2960 x 1440 QHD+ resolution, which although just a tad larger than the screen on the S8+, is 20% larger in screen area when compared with the regular S8 and 14% larger than the displays of previous Galaxy Note phablets. While the Galaxy S8’s display might have been the brightest display ever seen on a smartphone, the Note 8 brings that to new heights, smashing records with over 1200 nits of peak brightness on its screen. This translates to virtually no problems when it comes to viewing the display outdoors.

Not only that, other areas such as color accuracy and viewing angles have been improved upon. The Note 8 even sports a tougher Gorilla Glass 5 curved glass which is more resistant to scratches. The phablet also features new dual ambient light sensors which will improve the automatic brightness feature.

It is only after some serious testing that Display Mate crowns the Galaxy Note 8 to have the best smartphone display ever to date, scoring the highest A+ grade so far. Samsung’s display technology for smartphones have always been unmatched, and this is another perfect example of that.
