This Galaxy Note 8 clone will feature Face ID

The number of smartphone clones from Asian markets have gotten rampant recently. With some of them even being capable of emulating the Apple iPhone X, technology advancement has certainly reached a new level. Meiigoo, a Chinese company that has previously launched an S8 clone, has unveiled a Galaxy Note 8 clone that will feature facial recognition technology.

Meet the Meiigoo Note 8, which looks almost identical to Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 phablet. It sports a glass finish with an 18:9 full screen display on the front measuring at 5.99-inches. It does come in a lower Full HD+ resolution, but that’s what you get for a budget priced smartphone.

Underneath the hood is a MediaTek MT6750T processor, which is a mid range processor, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The rear camera setup consists of a 13MP sensor and a 5MP sensor while the front facing camera is of 5 megapixels. Oddly enough the Meiigoo Note 8 will have a 3D facial recognition feature powered by the measly front facing shooter that will unlock the device instantly. Meiigoo will be revealing more details about the Face ID equivalent in the future.

The Meiigoo Note 8 is now available for pre-order on Gearbest for an affordable $189.99 (RM 780.31), which actually sounds alright for its specs and the fact that it looks just like the Galaxy Note 8. Thoughts?
