It was thanks to the likes of the Xiaomi Mi MIX, Samsung Galaxy S8 and the LG G6, which got the bezel-less display ball running. Now very much a trend, bezel-less displays are slowly making their way to mid range devices as well. The Vivo V7+ and the Huawei Nova 2i for instance, feature full screen displays with affordable price tag. While Samsung hasn’t done so with its non-flagship smartphones, it will next year.
Samsung’s Galaxy A series are typically the next in line after its flagship S series in terms of overall specs on paper. Catered for folks who aren’t willing to splash as much cash on technology, the Galaxy A series of handsets are definitely impressive in the own ways as well. Based on the results of a HTML5 test online, we now know that next year’s Galaxy A5 will sport a tall bezel-less display on the front.
The results show the resolution of the Galaxy A5 2018 at 412 X 846 pixels, which definitely won’t be the case for the upcoming mid ranger. But in terms of measurements, the pixels translate to an 18.5:9 display aspect ratio, just like on the Galaxy S8. It will likely be in Full HD+ resolution.
This also means that the Galaxy A7 2018 will be sporting a bezel-less display as well. The Galaxy A3 is a more humbly spec-ed device, so Samsung might just sit out on implementing a full screen display for that one. What do you think?
