Windows XP and Vista users that are still using Firefox looks like it might be time for you to make the transition over to the newer generation of the Windows operating system. Mozilla has just announced that users still on the legacy Windows platform will not be able to get support in June 2018.

The company has announced that they have moved the mentioned operating systems into Extended Support Release (ESR) where it will continue to push security updates to these users. They go on to mention that ESR is initially developed for large organizations and was never meant for individual consumers. However, when D-Day comes, these OS will stop receiving this security updates which can potentially have exploits and loopholes that will make using the browser dangerous as it can be a compromise to your system.

For XP users, it is recommended that your systems be upgraded anyway as Microsoft themselves, have stopped supporting the OS for quite awhile now and that on its on makes your computer easier to be compromised. An upgrade is definitely worth the time an money in an age where computer breaches have become an everyday thing.
