Two app developers, LionMobi and JediMobi, were sued by Facebook for click injection fraud. These developers are reported to develop apps in the Google Play Store will cause malware in users’ phone.

So how does this affect Facebook? Apparently, once the malware is in the phones, it creates “fake user clicks on Facebook ads” so it seems like users have been clicking on said ads even though it’s not true.

By doing so, LionMobi and JediMobi get to earn profit from Facebook by creating the illusion that a real user has been clicking these ads. LionMobi also violated Facebook’s Advertising Policies by advertising its malicious apps on Facebook, leading to the lawsuit.

As of now, both the developers have been banned and disabled from Facebook and the social media platform promises to refund affected advertisers.
