Social media platforms are thriving right now due to everyone being stuck at home. Today, the company launches a gaming feature called Tournaments so that users can organize friendly competition even though they’re physically apart.
Facebook Tournaments will let users organize an event as if it’s an actual one by including registration, seeding, bracket management and score entry. You can get your friends to co-host your event and you can also remove/disqualify players if needed.
It’s also not necessary for you to have a Facebook account if you’d like to participate in tournaments — you just need to get the organizer to register for you via your gamer tag. If you’re a fellow streamer, you can also stream your match.
This feature will be available on iOS, Android and also its web version. Facebook is now offering early access to the new feature, so make sure you check it out if you’re up for some friendly competition with your friends.
