Xiaomi and Samsung have shown us that 108MP cameras on smartphones are possible, but is that where smartphone manufacturers will stop? No, it’s not. According to leaker Digital Chat Station, there will be a 192MP smartphone on its way to us and it could be as early as next month.

Now, we’ve only seen the 108MP cameras on flagship phones so far, but Digital Chat Station stated that the 192MP camera will instead be included in a phone that is powered by an SM7250 processor, which is either the Snapdragon 765 or Snapdragon 765G.

It’s worth noting that the jump from 108MP to 192MP is quite surprising given the current record of smartphone cameras. What’s more interesting is that the 192MP camera will not debut through a flagship phone. That being said, Android Authority reported that the Snapdragon 765 processors aren’t capable of supporting HDR and general multi-frame processing, so it might be lacking in other camera aspects.

Another thing to note is that the Snapdragon 765 processors will offer 5G connectivity so it’ll be great for those who are looking for a more affordable 5G phone. The Snapdragon 765 processors are something to look forward to, especially since the 765G chipset is gaming-focused and can support a 120Hz refresh rate at FHD+ resolution.
