How do you convince the public to be an early adopter of a piece of technology? You try to sweeten the deal by giving away some freebies to do so.
That is the case with the Oculus Rift as the company has announced that if you pre-order the virtual reality headset, you’ll receive a copy of CCP’s space dogfighting game EVE: Valkyrie for free.
Set in the EVE Online universe, EVE: Valkyrie was one of the earliest games that was announced when the Oculus Rift was in its prototype stages.
EVE: Valkyrie curently has an Early 2016 launch window which coincides with the Oculus Rift’s release.
That said, EVE: Valkyrie is not exclusive to the Rift as the game is also expected to hit the PlayStation VR when it releases.
Currently, no price point is given for EVE: Valkyrie should you decide to wait for a bit before purchasing the Rift.
