We are only moments away from the official release of Android O to the public. The launch will be held in conjunction with the solar eclipse phenomenon in the US. Another thing to look forward to is that Google will finally have the name of Android O be made known to everyone. We have had numerous rumors so far when it comes to the names for Android O and the one that is the most likely is Oreo. According to popular tipster Evan Blass, that will be the case when Google officially launches Android O.
Blass has been popular for revealing valuable information in the Android space prior to the release of various phones, so we do know that he can be counted on for leaks. He took the trouble to post up a teaser or two on Twitter, likely confirming that Android O will be called Android Oreo.
Based on Google’s sugary candy past of naming its Android versions from Cupcake, alphabetically up to last year’s Nougat, Oreo definitely seems more likely than any other name so far. The latest Android version will be unveiled at 2:30 AM Malaysian time today (22 August 2017).
