Epic Games Store has plans to launch on iOS and Android

Epic Games Store is owned by one of the most famous gaming publishers for PC and Mac platforms, and now it’s rumored to come to mobile platforms, iOS and Android.

Back in 2018, Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney has talked about bringing Epic Games Store to iOS and Android devices in 2019, but 2019 has already passed. Nevertheless, Sweeney brought up the topic again in a recent interview with GameSpot, meaning the company still hasn’t given up on bringing EGS to mobile platforms.

One of the most popular games, Fortnite, is currently on Play Store. However, that might change when Epic Games Store comes to Android devices. According to SlashGear, Sweeney’s intention is to provide an alternative to offer a higher revenue to developers.

“We think it’s a good way to help the industry [move] forward and it’s another way where Epic as a game developer had built up this audience around Fortnite and learned how to operate a distribution platform on PC and Android,” said Sweeney in the interview
