ECS dismisses reports of quitting its DIY motherboard business

ECS, the Taiwanese PC motherboard maker have dismissed rumors of selling of its business as reported by DIGITIMES, the company has sent out a press release confirming that it is still in business and will never give up any opportunity in making its own branded DIY motherboards.

While this piece of news could have hurt consumers a little, the rumour has been posted by irresponsible Taiwanese media DIGITIMES, which claims that the company will consider ceasing production of its consumer DIY motherboards and undertake ODM/OEM demands. While ECS’s motherboards aren’t as big here, the company still manufactures impressive DIY motherboards and some embedded solutions that we happened to notice over at COMPUTEX this year.

We hope this report helps ECS clarifies its position in the PC DIY market and look forward to see more interesting products coming up from the Taiwanese motherboard maker.
