DJI has just confirmed that they will be making a second generation of the Mavic Pro which will definitely get drone and photo enthusiast excited. Not only did they confirmed the Mavic Pro 2, they also confirmed a Mavic 2 Zoom.
The Zoom model is said to come with a lens that can shoot 28mm to 48mm images and the Mavic Pro 2 will come with a large 1-inch sensor. The Pro’s 1-inch CMOS sensor is made by Hasselblad, which is thanks to the acquisition of the company by DJI back in 2016. DJI usually keeps the large sensors for their high-end premium drones, and releasing it on the Mavic is going to allow more people to experience the large sensor. The Zoom, on the other hand, will not come with the 1-inch sensor, presumably to allow the level of zoom it can achieve. Other than that the Mavic 2 drones can be folded and is slightly slimmer than the previous generation. Its battery has been upgraded to allow for 31-minutes flight time and extra sensors for collision detection.
