As mobile internet becomes a norm for video streaming these days, Digi has realized the importance and has introduced two new Prepaid plans for that purpose, the Digi Prepaid Live is the telco’s offering for heavy video streamers, customers will be able to enjoy up to 8GB of video streaming for a month, while Digi Prepaid Best offers free 200MB of daily internet quota who uses minimum RM1.00 in IDD calls to Indonesia, Bangladesh, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam or China. The supported video streaming services are YouTube, iflix, HyppTV, Astro On-The-Go, Tonton and Dailymotion, while the supported music streaming services are Spotify, Apple Music, JOOX, KKBox, Deezer, Tidal and Raku.
The Digi Prepaid Live starter pack costs RM12 with RM8 of usable credit for 7-days, upon activation customers will be able to redeem a week’s worth of free data that consist of 300MB basic data, 1GB 4G Plus video and 1GB 4G Plus music streaming data by dialing *888*1#, the quota is refreshed weekly as long as you keep your prepaid account active. If you require more data, Digi also offers weekly and monthly packages which starts from RM10 up to RM68, which comprises of a base high speed internet quota for various usage with additional data allocated on top of your existing music and video streaming quota, the most expensive plan even offers 1000 minutes of on-net free calls. In addition, Digi Prepaid Live customers will be eligible to receive 100GB of cloud storage with no internet charges for data transfers and great online deals from Agoda, Lazada, Zalora, GrabCar and more coming soon, customers can also have up to three frequent contacts assigned to Digi BuddyZ to enjoy free calls and SMS.
On the other hand, the Digi Prepaid Best starter pack costs slightly cheaper at RM8, it has RM5 of preloaded credit with a 30-day validity, unlike the Live plan, customers will get to enjoy 200MB of 4G Internet as long as they make an IDD call worth RM1.00 and the offer can be redeemed by dialing *888# upon activation. After finishing the initial offer, customers will still continue to enjoy free data for Social Messaging Apps (Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and WeChat) while being able to opt for more data with daily, weekly and monthly plans, in this case only the RM30 plan will offer 2GB of music and video streaming data with a base 2GB high speed internet for other usage. Furthermore, Digi Best Prepaid offers affordable call and SMS rates up to 20 friends with BEST 20 Kawan and competitive IDD rates that start from RM0.04/30 seconds with IDD133.
