Dell updates the Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming with GTX 1060 Max-Q chip

Dell may have the Alienware brand spearheading its gaming laptop business, however the Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming series laptops have always been really appealing to those shopping for a gaming laptop on a budget. Today, Dell is updating the series by adding the option for a GTX 1060 Max-Q GPU model, and it starts from the price of RM6,599, making it one of the most affordable laptops with a GTX 1060 GPU.

With a GTX 1060 Max-Q graphics processor, the Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming should have better power efficiency and less noisy, NVIDIA’s Max-Q GPU design has a lower base and boost clock speed than the original but maintains the same memory bandwidth and CUDA cores, therefore users will still experience a significant performance improvement over the GTX 1050 despite of that. In other hardware specs, the refreshed Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming comes with an Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor, customers can choose either a 256GB PCIe SSD or a standard 128GB SATA SSD solution, and a 4K resolution display. The laptop also comes with a generous amount of ports, including three USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, one USB-C port supporting Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI 2.0

If you are interested, Dell has already listed the refreshed models over at its website, they come with the usual 2 year Premium On-Site warranty, which you can also choose to extend it with accidental damage protection.
