Dell Technologies has announced a major expansion of its consumer and gaming portfolio, marking the return of the iconic XPS brand with a complete redesign, a broader Alienware gaming lineup aimed at more users, and the introduction of two industry-leading UltraSharp monitors. The move signals Dellโs renewed focus on consumers, creators and gamers, while strengthening its position across different price points and use cases.
According to Dell, the reintroduction of XPS represents a return to its roots, with an emphasis on premium design, portability and everyday performance. The newly redesigned XPS 14 and XPS 16 feature a sleek, minimalist aesthetic crafted from CNC-machined aluminium, with refined interfaces and high-end display options. For the first time, the iconic XPS logo now appears on the laptop lid, visually signalling the brandโs comeback.
Both the XPS 14 and XPS 16 are Dellโs thinnest laptops to date, measuring just 14.6mm thick. The XPS 14 weighs around three pounds, making it significantly lighter than the previous generation, while the larger XPS 16 comes in at approximately 3.6 pounds, nearly a pound lighter than before. Despite their slim profiles, the new models are designed to deliver all-day endurance, offering up to 27 hours of Netflix streaming or over 40 hours of local video playback.
Powering the new XPS lineup are Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors paired with built-in Intel Arc graphics featuring up to 12 Xe cores. Combined with optional tandem OLED displays, the laptops are positioned to deliver strong visual quality and performance while maintaining a balance between portability and productivity. Dell has also confirmed that the XPS portfolio will expand further later this year with additional form factors and price points, including the return of the XPS 13, which is expected to be the thinnest and lightest XPS laptop ever and the most accessible XPS model to date.
On the gaming front, Dell is significantly expanding its Alienware lineup to reach a wider audience. The company plans to effectively double Alienwareโs notebook range by introducing two new product classes. One is an ultra-slim gaming laptop, measuring roughly 17mm thick, designed to combine high performance with improved mobility. The other is a new entry-level Alienware laptop aimed at bringing the brand to more gamers at substantially lower price points.
Alienware is also pushing display technology forward, debuting anti-glare OLED panels on the Alienware 16 Area-51 and Alienware 16X Aurora laptops. These displays address one of the most common community requests by combining OLEDโs deep blacks, vibrant colours and high contrast with breakthrough anti-glare technology, allowing for comfortable gaming in a wider range of lighting conditions.
These models, along with the larger Alienware 18 Area-51, are powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors, while the Alienware Area-51 Desktop steps up performance further with AMDโs Ryzen 9850X3D processor and 3D V-Cache technology, targeting enthusiasts who want maximum gaming performance.
Beyond laptops and desktops, Dell also introduced two new UltraSharp monitors aimed at professionals who demand premium display quality and expansive screen real estate. The Dell UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Hub Monitor is the worldโs first 52-inch 6K monitor and the first to achieve the highest tier of TรV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification. Designed for financial traders, engineers, data scientists and executives, it offers massive screen space in a single-monitor setup, reducing the need for multi-monitor configurations while improving productivity.
Meanwhile, the Dell UltraSharp 32 4K QD-OLED Monitor brings QD-OLED technology to creative professionals. Recognised with a CES 2026 Innovation Award, it is the worldโs first commercial DisplayHDR True Black 500 QD-OLED monitor with Anti-Glare Low-Reflectance technology. Building on improvements in panel efficiency and HDR performance, Dell positions this monitor as an ideal solution for creators who require accurate colours, deep contrast and consistent visual quality in any lighting environment.
In terms of availability, the XPS 14 and XPS 16 are expected to arrive towards the end of January 2026, with pricing to be confirmed. Alienwareโs new laptops and desktop systems are scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2026. The Dell UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Hub Monitor is already available in Malaysia at RM10,459 via Dellโs official website, while the UltraSharp 32 4K QD-OLED Monitor is expected to launch locally by the end of January 2026.
With the return of XPS, a broader Alienware lineup and cutting-edge display innovations, Dell is clearly signalling its intent to compete aggressively across productivity, creative and gaming segments, offering a wider range of options for users at every level.
