Lenovo sub brand ZUK will have its Z1 smartphone launch in India on the 10th of May, which is just next week. However, it won’t be known as the Z1 in curryland. Instead, it will carry the Lenovo branding, hence the Lenovo Z1, powered by ZUK, as seen in the image above.

The Lenovo Z1 will be running Cyanogen OS on top of Android. Cyanogen OS was roped into exclusivity with Indian OEM Micromax back in 2014, causing a dispute between them and OnePlus, whose device the OnePlus One was running Cyanogen OS, then known as CyanogenMod. Cyanogen OS is no longer exclusive to Micromax, hence the Lenovo Z1 will be the first Cyanogen OS handset to arrive to India since the OnePlus One.

Taking a look at the spec sheet, the Lenovo Z1 is sporting a 5.5-inch 1080p display, the old flagship Snapdragon 801 SoC with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The handset features a 13MP primary camera, coupled with an 8MP sharp selfie shooter on the front. The Z1 comes packed with a fingerprint sensor, alongside a 4,100mAh battery with fast charging capabilities. Are you operating Cyanogen OS on your device?
