Does the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro still ring a bell? We hope it still does. But just in case it doesn’t, the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is Google’s first ever Project Tango phone that was unveiled a couple of months back in June. The revolutionary handset, that utilizes multiple sensors for the implementation of Tango technology, will finally go on sale this coming November.

During the launch at Lenovo’s event, the Phab 2 Pro was initially set for a September release. However, we discovered earlier last month that the said release has been pushed back to some time “this fall”, according to Lenovo’s official website. Fall is a pretty vague time frame, but Google’s head of VR, Clay Bavor has informed news outlet CNET that the phone will be released next month. Having said that, Bavor did not state a reason for the quiet delay by Google and Lenovo.

The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is equipped with Project Tango’s depth sensing 3D camera system, enabling augmented reality gaming and utilities with a couple more extra cameras and sensors than the usual smartphone. The handset sports a massive 6.4-inch display at QHD resolution, a Snapdragon 652 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable memory. It features a 16MP rear camera, coupled with an 8MP camera for selfies. Powering the device is a huge 4,050mAh battery with 2.4x turbo charge support.

Now that the release date has been narrowed down to within a month, we shall just patiently wait for the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro to go on sale, rather than putting our hopes on future uncertainty. What do you think?
