The supposedly early launch of the Galaxy Note 6 seems to be more believable than ever, with the amount of rumors piling up, and now, a CPU-Z screenshot of the alleged handset’s specs. Based on the screenshot, the rumors regarding Samsung’s phablet flagship is gradually becoming more consistent.
CPU-Z, if you don’t know, identifies your phone’s specs underneath the hood. While some may render the app to be inaccurate, the 4.5/5 rating and 10 million downloads on the Google Play Store says otherwise. Thanks to this screenshot, the rumored specs now look somewhat more credible than before. First of all, the Galaxy Note 6 will feature a 5.8-inch display at Quad HD. It will be powered by an Exynos 8890 SoC, the same chip powering a variant of the Galaxy S7. Who knows? We might be looking at a Snapdragon 820 variant of the Galaxy Note 6 as well.
Also shown in the screenshot is 6GB of RAM, which is an overkill, but only shows 50% of RAM available for use, indicating the memory hogging TouchWiz, although Samsung has slimmed down their own UI over the past couple of years. Additionally, the 15.50GB which is available out of the 32GB internal storage of the Galaxy Note 6 shouldn’t come as astonishing as well. The source behind this screenshot has claimed that the Note 6 will be a tad thicker than its predecessor and will be packing a 3,700mAh battery, plus water and dust resistance. Is 6GB of RAM an overkill in the Galaxy Note 6’s case?
