Could Mitch Kessler be a good guy in The Morning Show?

The thing is, we don’t really cover movie releases and discuss plots here, but through a Vanity Fair interview with the director of Knives Out, Rian Johnson, we understand that Apple doesn’t allow movie villains to use iPhones, as it paints a bad image on the company.

In Episode 1 of The Morning Show at 1:47, Mitch Kessler (Steve Carrell) is seen picking up his iPhone when he receives a call in the middle of night.

But here’s the thing, Steve Carrell’s character Mitch Kessler in The Morning Show, one of Apple’s most heavily promoted series on its Apple TV+, is using an iPhone despite being an antagonist of the show, or is he actually one?

Well, maybe Mitch isn’t exactly a bad guy after all, though the plot of the show does show him having a sexual scandal in the studio and affecting the show’s reputation in the first few episodes, but he has by all means tried to be apologetic throughout the first season of The Morning Show.

Maybe Apple does allow bad people to use iPhones only in their sponsored shows? What about MacBooks? Let us know your thoughts!
