Computex will begin on May 30 till June 3, and we are here at Taipei as usual for the third time to check out the latest innovation in tech at the largest PC expo. This year’s Computex sees an increase of 10.5% of pre-registered international buyers and visitors around the world, and the theme for this year is Building Global Technology Ecosystems.
The show won’t differ too much from last year, as it continues to focus on 5 themes – AI & Robotics, IoT Applications, Innovations & Startups, Business Solutions, and Gaming & VR. TAITRA, the organizer of Computex has also collaborated with the Taiwan National Palace Museum in showcasing an immersive VR experience over at Nangang Exhibition Hall, which allows visitors to experience oriental culture and arts. Gaming competitions are also big this year, one of which includes ZOTAC’s CUP MASTERS, while there’s also activities such as Computex Modding Challenge – CyberMods and overclocking event OC World Cup.
Apart from forums and product launches, InnoVEX is held again in Computex this year, this is a featured exhibit that will house innovative products and services from startups of over 23 countries, including Taiwan, Korea, France, China, the U.S, Singapore, Israel, Hong Kong, Denmark and India, this exhibit will also allow the exhibitors to do pitches to potential buyers and investors, while having a business match making session. Moving forward, TAITRA has also announced that the Taiwan government will also be building an “Asia Silicon Valley” in the country, which will promote IoT innovation and optimize startups and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
