Are you a fan of messing around with software builds that are in no way, shape or form ready for public use? If you are, then you’re in luck, because Google has made Chrome Canary available for Android users.
For those who have never heard of Chrome Canary before, here’s a quick rundown. Google’s Chrome browser is divided into four builds, each of which signifies the state of the build. These four builds are Stable, Beta, Dev, and Canary, with the latter very much being Alpha stages. Up until now, Chrome Canary has only been offered to Windows and Mac platforms, but this is no longer the case as it can now be downloaded on the Google Play Store.
If you want to experiment with Chrome Canary, but are unwilling to sacrifice your stable Chrome build, you need not worry, as both browsers can exist side by side. As Chrome Canary is very much a test platform for Google to test out various features, you’ll get to play around with various experiments that may or may not make it to the final build.
Once again, Chrome Canary is very unstable, so much so that Google has placed an “Unstable” label next to the Chrome Canary name itself. If you’re willing to brave the bugs, you may just be able to experience the future of Chrome first hand.
