If you happen to be frowning at the fact that the ZTE Axon 7 Max isn’t available outside of China, fret not, especially if you’re looking for a phone with two cameras. ZTE has showcased yet another phone with a dual camera configuration at CES 2017, the Blade V8 Pro, featuring some similar specs when put up against the Axon 7 Max.

First of all, ZTE opted with a plastic rear backing for the Blade V8 Pro, accentuating the fact that it is a mid range device. The phone sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display on the front with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Underneath the hood, the handset is powered by the same octa core Snapdragon 625 processor seen in the Axon 7 Max, clocked at 2.0 GHz, but comes equipped with 1GB lesser RAM, leaving it with 3GB of RAM.

As for the camera setup, as mentioned earlier, the ZTE Blade V8 Pro features a dual rear camera configuration of two 13MP sensors, for better control of depth of field when capturing photos. ZTE’s software allows the tweaking of bokeh effects for captured images. On the front, the Blade V8 Pro has an 8MP selfie shooter, which is sufficient.

The handset features a rarity for mid range and high end devices, a removable battery. That is probably why ZTE went with a plastic backing for this phone. The battery capacity of this phone is a little larger than the 3,000mAh standard as well, at 3,140mAh, enough to provide a decent battery life. Oddly enough, the phone only supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 instead of the newer 3.0 technology.

Nevertheless, the ZTE Blade V8 Pro won’t break the bank with its $230 (RM1,028.79) price tag. Given it’s midrange specs with a dual camera setup, I wouldn’t think twice. Will you?
