Don’t have the cash to purchase a high-end gaming notebook? Have one but just can’t play with high graphics setting? NVIDIA is here to eliminate the woes and bringing GeForce Now to PC and Mac on March this year, you will be able to play your purchased games from Steam, GoG, U Play and more using NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1080 and GTX 1060 powered cloud computers.
The GeForce NOW service was originally announced alongside the first generation NVIDIA Shield TV, which allows you to stream certain game titles from NVIDIA’s GRID platform for $8.99 per month. With the new GeForce NOW for PC and Mac, gamers will not be limited to that and all you really need is a high speed internet connection to be able to stream your own purchased games anytime, anywhere.
In terms of pricing and availability, any user who signs up to the GeForce NOW service will be able to play free on a GTX 1060 computer for 8 hours and a GTX 1080 computer for 4 hours. However if you think that’s not enough, you can pay $25 a month to extend the gameplay hours of the GTX 1060 and GTX 1080 computers to 20 and 10 hours respectively. GeForce NOW for PC and Mac will be available first in the United States, with more countries to come throughout the year.
