Snapchat might be suffering from the emergence of Instagram Stories, which was launched last year. But the social app has been adding features from time to time, ensuring that it maintains its stronghold of its user base. Before Christmas, Snapchat rolled out a new feature which allows group messaging on its app. A little over a week ago, a new search bar has been added for easier access. Now Snapchat has shipped a new and nifty feature, and it is available on its beta version of the app.
Based on a thread on Reddit, Snapchat beta now has bundled notifications. This means that notifications can be expanded or collapsed when there are multiple notifications from Snapchat. Users will be able to swipe to expand individual notifications from the Snapchat app. When collapsed, the sole notification allows for a much cleaner look on the notification drawer, looking at the screenshot above.
The bundled notifications feature for Snapchat beta is likely to only be available for devices running Android Nougat. It should not take long before Snapchat officially rolls out this handy new feature. What do you think?
