Boost and UTM join forces to bring the first Cashless Campus in Malaysia

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) has taken the first step forward in the cashless world thanks to the collaboration with Boost, an app-based innovative mobile wallet. Thanks to this partnership, all 25,000 UTM students and faculty members across the campus will be able to use their mobile phones as a single mode of payment in all campus purchases.

Being the forefront of engineering and technological knowledge, UTM is breaking grounds yet again to by going cashless and will pave the way for Malaysia to become a cashless country. Boost users can pay for purchases at selected merchants at both physical and online merchants without the need of cash or card payments. Boost is not only limited to UTM, it works from weekly Pasar Malam to popular food trucks and even well-loved food courts that support the service. The service provides a hassle-free option for those of you that don’t want to carry bundles of cash when you are out and about. Boost has taken into account user experience and built the app around that key importance.
