Those who are looking for the most secure Android smartphone, other than the Blackphone itself, Blackberry is introducing the DTEK 60 to the Malaysian market soon, retailer DirectD has listed the smartphone at its website at the price of RM2,338 and the phone is distributed by none other than Blackberry’s authorized distributor, Brightstar. As you may know Blackberry isn’t manufacturing handsets for now, the DTEK 60 is technically made by Alcatel that resembles the Idol 4S, however the phone packs Blackberry’s security features and isn’t a slouch when it comes to hardware specs.
The DTEK 60 is a full touch screen device with no slide up keyboard like the previous Blackberry Priv, under the hood the phone is powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor mated to 4GB of RAM, it has a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, 32GB of storage capacity with MicroSD expansion, a 21-megapixel main and 8-megapixel front camera, and a 3000mAh battery. The DTEK 60 comes preloaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, apart from having a rear mounted fingerprint scanner for security, it has the DTEK by Blackberry app to secure your text messages, passwords, smartphone features and more. Other than that, you get other Blackberry exclusive features such as its Intelligent Keyboard and Blackberry Hub for accurate typing and combining all communication activities in a hub respectively.
I would say that the DTEK 60’s price tag is rather reasonable considering the hardware power it has, it is also affordable than other established smartphone brands in the market. Directd will ship the DTEK 60 on November 14 onwards, head on over to the source link if you’re interested in getting one.
