The highly-anticipated Black Shark 3 gaming smartphone series will be making its way to the country this April 30 – meaning we won’t have to wait long now to know how much the phones will cost.
But, trusty local retailers DirectD and Satu Gadget have disclosed what looks to be the official pricing for the Black Shark 3 series – and the base model of the phone will starts at a cool RM2,799 (8GB+128GB), while the 12GB+128GB model will go for RM3,199. The Black Shark 3 Pro will set you back RM3,999 for the 8GB+256GB model and RM4,199 for the 12GB+256GB option.
Satu Gadget will also throw in a host of pre-order gifts which include an action camera, a 10,000mAh power bank, a fitness tracker (possibly a Xiaomi Mi Band 4), a pair of headphones and a travel mug.
DirectD’s pre-order pricing is the same – however, no pre-order goodies are expected; but the company does offer a one-year official Xiaomi warranty for the phone.
Both companies cite an arrival ETA of May 5 for the regular Black Shark 3, while the Black Shark 3 Pro should be available for sale this 18-31 May, according to DirectD.
As a quick refresher, the Black Shark 3 series comes with a Snapdragon 865 chipset with 5G support. The regular Black Shark 3 measures at 6.67-inches and has a FHD+ screen, while the Black Shark 3 Pro has a 7.1-inch QHD+ panel instead. Both phones do come with a 90Hz refresh rate display.
Both devices will also sport a pair of physical pop-up shoulder triggers that are best suited for FPS games like PUBG Mobile or Call of Duty Mobile. The regular Black Shark 3 has a 4,700mAh battery while the Black Shark 3 Pro has a 5,000mAh pack – the latter supports up to 65W of fast charging.
For imaging, both phones get a respectable 64MP main les alongside a 13MP ultrawide shooter and a 5MP depth sensor. For selfies, you get a 20MP front camera as well.
