If Bixby is one of the features that you are looking forward to try out on the Galaxy S8, then you’ll be glad to know that you can install Bix by on any Galaxy smartphones that is running on Android Nougat, XDA-developer user taberhbk has released a hack that you can get Samsung’s assistant installed into your Galaxy smartphone by installing the S8 launcher, once done activate it and proceed to install Bixby, and you’ll get Bixby on your phone way before the Galaxy S8 launches, this hack doesn’t even require rooting the device hence its really worth trying.

One thing to commend about this is that Samsung isn’t limiting anyone to access its virtual assistant, unlike when Apple launched Siri back on the iPhone 4s, users are required to jailbreak older device and connect to a non-official server to get Siri running on older iPhones. Bixby is Samsung’s answer to the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, which can do pretty much anything like these assistants like answering questions and manage your device, but most importantly it uses augmented reality to identify objects in the real world and feed the user shopping information about the item.

With this hack, we can also assume that Samsung might bring Bixby to its older devices in time to come via a software update, as long as these devices are running on Android Nougat. If you have a Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, try out the steps in the source link and let us know about it.
