Wireless headphones with noise cancellation aren’t cheap, and Beats by Dr Dre’s new Studio3 Wireless headphone is a rather decently priced one, it has Apple’s W1 chip built in for easy pairing and seamless switching between supported iOS devices and most importantly, it features the company’s new and proprietary Pure Adaptive Noise Canceling (Pure ANC) technology, the headphone also uses an industry-class leading Class 1 Bluetooth connectivity for a reliable and longer range connectivity.
The Studio3 Wireless headphone’s battery life is rated at 22 hours with Pure ANC turned on, and up to 40 hours with Pure ANC turned off, double the battery life of its predecessor. If you happen to run out battery, the headphone features Fast Fuel charging which aims to give you 3 hours of playback time with just 10 minutes of charging via its MicroUSB port. On how it blocks noise out of the cans, the headphone monitors your environment continuously and uses advanced algorithm to determine the level of noise cancellation required, it also takes the current audio playback into consideration and adjusts accordingly to ensure audio fidelity. Beats have also implemented on-ear controls and a built-in microphone, which allows users to make calls, skip songs, control volume and activate Siri.
Apple will start selling the Beats Studio3 Wireless beginning October 9th at the Apple Online Store and resellers for RM1,460, color options are available in Matte Black, White, Blue and Reed, special edition colors of Porcelain Rose and Shadow Grey, it is strategically priced against Bose’s QC35 and Sony’s MDR-1000X, though both of the latter uses Active Noise Cancellation rather than Adaptive Noise Cancellation, the Beats Studio3 Wireless headphone owns them with its great battery life and connectivity.
