If you think laptops these days are getting boring with pretty much the same set of colors, AVITA has officially entered the Malaysian market and introduced the AVITA LIBER, a range of colorful laptops that aims to combine performance with passion, the LIBER series comes in 13.3-inch and 14-inch models, both models will be available with processor options from Intel Celeron up to the Intel Core i7 processor, RAM options of 4GB and 8GB DDR3 1600MHz, SSD storage options of either 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. Most impressively, AVITA claims battery life of up to 10 hours for both models, though it wasn’t clear if the maxed out Core i7 model would sport the same battery life with a 36Wh battery.
The AVITA LIBER is clearly targeted at those who wants a lightweight laptop with decent performance on the go, the 13-inch model weighs 1.37kg and the 14-inch model weighs slightly more at 1.49kg. Unlike most laptops in the same range, the AVITA LIBER comes with a generous amount of ports, there’s two standard USB 3.0 ports, a USB-C 3.0 port that supports Display Out and Charging other devices, Mini HDMI, a headphone jack and a MicroSD card slot, that is rather reasonable for the laptops’ thickness of 15mm and 16mm for the 13-inch and 14-inch model respectively, the laptops also come with a built-in fingerprint reader and a rather huge trackpad.
What the AVITA LIBER is different from the rest, is that the company allows design customization on its laptops, as they have planned to roll out a self-service customization platform later in 2018, and work with local designers and design institutions to create and produce customized casing patterns. AVITA will also be launching a line up of accessories, including laptop sleeves, backpack and carrying cases, which all of them feature a water-repellent zipper.
AVITA has also taken the opportunity to introduce the Nexstgo PRIMUM laptops, which is its flagship commercial laptops that has known to have passed 12 US military-grade tests and 72 hardware tests, it is available in sizes of 14-inch and 15-inch, which the 14-inch model weighs really light at 1.3kg. The Nexstgo PRIMUS laptops are available in processor options of Intel vPro Core i5 and i7, and a standard Intel Core i3 processor, users can install up to 32GB of DDR4-2400MHz RAM. Storage options are also pretty flexible, as users can configure the 14-inch model with either a 256GB or 512GB SSD, while the 15-inch model can be configured with either SSD, HDD or Intel Optane memory.
The AVITA LIBER laptops are available in a wide range of colors, which includes AVITA Purple, Angel Blue, Cloud Silver, Champagne Gold, Fragrant Lilac, Matt Black, Pearl White, Princess Pink, Space Grey and Urban Ruby. More colors will be introduced soon in the near future, the AVITA LIBER will retail from RM1,799 to RM4,399.
