Local in-car infotainment system developer ACO Tech, has revealed their latest offering in the form of ATLAS (ACO Tech Local Automotive Services).

This new operating system builds on the company’s experience of developing the infotainment head units for the Proton X70 and X50 SUVs.

ATLAS comes packed with all sorts of features, which includes an entertainment system that uses JOOX and SYOK for your dose of music and radio content.

Built and developed by Malaysians, ATLAS has an AI-powered speech recognition system that can recognize “Malaysian English at varying tones” – nifty.

On top of that, there’s an intelligent notification system that can even detect a tire puncture or extreme weather.

To make things even more convenient for car owners, the ATLAS comes with an in-car payment system, aptly dubbed ATLAS Pay.

According to the company, the feature lets users pay for everyday needs all from the comforts of their own cars – the feature will require the ATLAS Auto (available to download this Q4 2021) companion mobile app to work for now, and it will be integrated into infotainment systems by the first half of 2022.

Speaking of the mobile app, ATLAS Auto works in-tandem with the car’s system – and it also offers other neat features like ATLAS Mall, a marketplace for you to make purchases and make reservations while on the move, ATLAS Discover, a community-driven news and information hub, and ATLAS Vehicle, which lets you control your vehicle remotely, and retrieve stats.

For navigation, ATLAS Map is a native navigation system that supports real-time traffic info, and safety-related info. It can utilise GPS connection systems when internet access is limited too.
