Remember ASUS’s GR8? ASUS’s own take on the consolified PC is getting a sequel, and the machine is making its way to the local markets as well.
Aptly named the GR8 II, ASUS has updated this 4-liter gaming PC with components that are more in line with modern day gaming machines. For starters, the GR8 II sports a 7th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, which is paired up with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card. The specifications of the machine also means that the GR8 II is VR-ready. In order to facilitate the VR headsets, the GR8 II comes with two HDMI ports. Other components that can be found in GR8 II includes either an M.2 PCI Express SSD or a more traditional SATA SSD.
In order to counter the heat generated from the GR8 II, ASUS has outfitted the machine with specially-tuned cooling system with an optimized airflow design, copper heat pipes and dual fans. This is coupled with cleverly-designed vents and dedicated chambers to provide the machine with the appropriate amount of airflow to keep the machine cool. Lastly, the GR8 II features ASUS’s own Aura Sync RGB LED for those who like colours with their gaming machines.
For those interested in the machine, ASUS is now offering a special price of RM4,999 to those who pre-order the machine. The standard retail price of the GR8 II will be RM5,499.
