Before the OnePlus 5, the ASUS ZenFone AR was deemed to be the world’s first smartphone to come with 8GB of RAM back in CES 2017, while it still owns the title of being the first and only phone that is both Tango and Daydream ready, its launch price tag here isn’t something that you might feel like paying for, however the good news now is that if you ever still want to try out ASUS’s first AR smartphone, the phone can be yours at RM3,399 over at 11street as part of the e-commerce website’s Shocking Deals, receiving a price cut of RM500.
Apart from its beefy 8GB RAM, the ZenFone AR has a decent Snapdragon 821 processor, a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, 128GB of built-in storage, 23-megapixel main and 8-megapixel front cameras. Despite of the price cut, it is still pretty expensive for what it is priced at if you are not really investing into Augmented Reality, especially with the fact that you could already purchase better specced devices like the Samsung Galaxy S8 and HTC U11, even the OnePlus 5 sports a much powerful Snapdragon 835 processor with the same amount of storage at a much lesser price tag. However, if you are a person who wants to experience Tango and Daydream, this is probably the best phone for now.
